Tracy Taylor, Executive Director
As Executive Director, Tracy oversees the day-to-day activities of IBP and plans all of the organization's large shipments. She highly values the relationships built with IBP's overseas partners and strives to provide the books needed to assist those who are so eager to learn. Having served as Books as Bridges Coordinator, Tracy is aware of IBP's unique opportunity to promote cultural awareness throught Central Kentucky, and she seeks to engage the community in promoting global literacy. Tracy has visited many of IBP's partners, including several in Ecuador and Ghana. She received her B.A. in International Afairs from Murray State University and has been with the International Book Project since 2008. |

Tom Zemsky, Warehouse Manager
Only a few years from retirement, Tom has been with IBP since 1976. He helps to run the warehouse, sort and pack books for overseas shipments, and sell books to raise postage funds. He has a B.A. from the University of Cincinnati and an M.F.A. from the University of Iowa. Hired by IBP's founder, Mrs. Van Meter, he has watched the International Book Project grow from her basement to its own warehouse and the sending of 100,000 to 200,000 books annually. |

Saul Kutnicki, Volunteer and Warehouse Coordinator
Saul recruits and supervises the generous individuals and groups who volunteer their time at the International Book project. He also oversees the daily operation of the warehouse, handling incoming and outgoing books, maintaining a safe work environment, and educating visitors about our mission. Saul is committed to the idea that the wounds of poverty, violence, and illiteracy can be soothed by the opportunities afforded by books and the work of a few individuals on the behalf of their neighbors around the globe. After receiving his B.A. in English from Transylvania University in Lexington, Saul joined the International Book Project in 2008. He has studied abroad at the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom and currently attends the University Kentucky as a Post-Baccalaureate student. In November of 2011 he will deliver a paper Hannah Arendt and Banal Testimony at the Human Rights, Literature, the Arts, and Social Sciences International Conference at Central Michigan University.

Tejas Shastry, Books as Bridges Coordinator
Tejas is a native of Worthington, KY. He attended the University of Louisville, and received a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy. As an undergrad he enjoyed working for Peritus Public Relations, and serving as the Philanthropy Chair of the McConnell Center. During his time at the University he was active in East Asian and South Asian Studies, and was afforded the opportunity to study at Renmin University in Beijing. Additionally, he spent one summer working for a NGO in Auroville, India. For nine months Tejas was fortunate enough to live and teach in Sri Lanka on a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) grant. In his free time he enjoys reading, learning languages, playing guitar, the outdoors, and constantly checking his Google Reader. |

Amanda Holt, Marketing and Local Donations Coordinator, AmeriCorps VISTA
Amanda knows just how much reading can change your entire life. Having just finished a two year position as a dyslexia and literacy tutor at The Reading Room of Lexington, she has seen how literacy skills and access to books can instill knowledge, confidence, passion and purpose in a person’s life. Amanda is a recent graduate of Transylvania University, where she has reaped the benefits of reading in her own life as she earned her B.A. in English and Psychology. She is excited to serve the International Book Project and cannot wait to continue promoting literacy both locally and abroad. |
